While the leaves are beginning to fall here, relationships with the young adult orphans are budding and blooming! Dinu has known some of our volunteers for years, but is just getting to know others. Building trust and communication takes a while, but the result of being able to make a real impact in their lives is so worth it!
Below are some pictures of Mrs. Maria's house we told you about last month. We're getting materials now and work on the shelter for her animals will begin soon. We are hoping to make improvements to her living conditions eventually as well- we'll be in touch about it at the New Year. For now, Mrs. Maria is very relieved to know her livestock will survive the winter.
Our family is very much at home here in Romania and we're all growing inside and out. Sarah started crawling and Marie is getting stronger every day! We are so grateful for those of you who are partnering with us financially. We also really appreciate your faith-filled prayers for our family!
Not sure how to pray for us? Colosians 4:3-4 sums it up well, "And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ...Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should."
Sergiu mentors other college age young men. Dinu meets with Sergiu weekly, speaking into his life and encouraging him in the Word.
A typical evening in the village of Suciu. We minister every other weekend there.
Maria's precious calf. She has a mother cow and a pig as well.
We started the month with a great family hike through the local gorge.
Three of the teens in this picture (taken with Dinu at an orphanage 7 years ago) are now volunteers with Pas cu Pas. They are very happy to have Dinu as their spiritual leader.
This is dear Mrs. Maria in Suciu.
The current, crumbling structure.
Sarah is 8 months old and still waiting on that first tooth!
Every weekend the volunteers visit one of four orphanges. Dinu loves going along and spending time with the little ones!
The foundation for her new animal shelter.
Incredibly poor living conditions- this is Mrs. Maria's kitchen/living room.
