Dear Friends and Family...
When we wrote in March, we were making the most of our last 6 weeks in Romania before leaving to spend the summer in the States.
I am writing from Indiana today, where we girls are staying at my parents' while Dinu is out working in the semi-truck. And, we are just a few weeks away from John's due date!
Ministry is going well in our absence. The volunteers and other staff just finished up three retreat weekends for children living in group homes in and around Cluj. We held the first weekend of this kind just before we left and saw the positive effects having been decentralized out of the large institutions has had on many of the children. They showed remarkable openness, both to Spiritual things and to building relationships with us! Our new retreat platform is much more inter-active and experiential than summer camp. We would like to ask you to join us in praying for our young adults this summer. As they each face different opportunities and challenges, we are declaring over them that they will boldly allow God to use them and will resist temptation, discouragement and distraction, leaning on the Holy Spirit like never before.
As for us, something we are asking the Lord for is to experience His rest and be strengthened and refreshed, individually and as a family, during this summer. We are also praying to be a blessing somehow to our friends, family and supporters while we are here. It's so easy for time to pass without making moments count and without planning our time prudently. So please pray for us in those areas if you think of us.

Below are Pardelian and Gabriela, volunteers who were raised in the same orphanage as children. They were married last month! The second picture is of the Girls' Night we had the weekend before leaving Romania. The girls surprised me with a journal each one had written in and an outfit for baby John!
