I'm in my last month of classes at Charis Bible College. Our plan is to move to Indiana at the end of May before making the big move to Romania mid-July.
Candy and the girls will stay with her family while I work those weeks and we'll have the opportunity to save up a little.
We will also be visiting some churches in Indiana and Michigan to share the vision we have for the next few years!
You may have noticed that we didn't send out an update last month. The time slipped by so quickly and March was gone before we knew it.Anyway, I hope you'll take a few minutes to read the entire letter this month. I also hope that you will pray for us during this exciting, but challenging season as we prepare for the move to Romania and to give online if you want to help support us.
We are so grateful to have you as friends and pray for you what we pray for ourselves- that we would walk, more than ever before, in the wisdom and grace God has provided!
A Walking Miracle!
I woke up after a night full of thoughts and fears and knew I had to get some encouragement from God's Word...
Our daughter, Marie (who will be two next month), has had a few surgeries to correct serious birth defects. While she is very healthy, she's had a significant delay in her ability to walk. We ended last year with her taking just a few clumsy steps every once in a while. Since then she had made very little progress, until last month, when her few steps became sometimes 10 or more at a time.
But even with all the recent progress, I found myself wanting to feel sorry for her these past few weeks. I was discouraged by her lack of balance and control. The association of birth defects she was born with often includes severe nuerological issues. Thoughts of a life full of difficulty and possible permenant disability began to bombard my mind. Up until then, I can honestly say that Dinu and I never once thought she wouldn't walk perfectly. We kept our eyes on what we knew WOULD BE inspite of what we were seeing. more
There's little I can say to describe the feelings we have during this time of transition. We are just so grateful to have received this assignment from God!
You know, we all have an assignment. And while yours may not take you across an ocean, it is no less important.
You have a mission from God to carry out at your job, in your family, as a part of your local church and community!
What a privilege for each of us- to be a part of God's great kingdom on the Earth!
We want to make sure we'll have enough support before we leave for Romania in July.
Jesus teaches us, in Luke 14:28, that it only makes sense to sit down and make sure you have everything you need to complete a task before you start it.
So, if you're planning to partner with us, we want to ask you to let us know as soon as possible.
